David is in the process of updating all our photographs on our website and a selection of some of our pictures of this season’s weddings are shown below. Go to the gallery section of our website to view new photos. Our galleries are divided into a number of sections for easy viewing. The galleries feature the different stages of your wedding- Getting ready at the house, Arrival at the church, The ceremony, The bride & groom, The bridal party, Family, Hotel, Black and white and a stylised section which shows the more fashion and creative photos we take at our weddings.

Top UK photographers join IWP team

This week Julie Oswin AMPA and Steve Walton FMPA FRSA , two of the UK's top award winning MPA photographers have now officially joined the team at Irish Wedding Photography.

As a Fellow of the Master Photographers Association, Steve has achieved the very highest qualification that can be bestowed upon a Professional Photographer in the UK. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Julie holds Associateship of the Master Photographers Association and both Steve and Julie have won UK wedding photographer of the year on separate occasions. IWP are now proud to have Steve and Julie as part of the team and available for booking for weddings here in Ireland.

Media Coverage and MPA Award Ceremony

Following David's award of two certificate of merit from the Master Photography Association described below David is travelling to Newcastle for the award ceremony this week. Aswell as now being associated with the MPA, photographers Julie Oswin and Steve Walton who have both won UK Wedding Photographer of the Year Awards have now joined the team of photographers at the studio and have already started shooting weddings here in Ireland.

Master Photography Awards.

David was recently awarded a certificate of merit for an entry in the wedding photography category in the Master Photography Awards 2009.


"This year over 2000 entries were received from the UK and Overseas. Your prints were judges by a panel of at least five eminent practicing Judges all fellows, specifically selected by the Chair of Competitions, Desi Fontaine FMPA. Each judge has many years experience in judging competitions at all levels. The judges used a system which provides each print with an average score, this score determines whether or not an image has attained an Award of Excellence."



The Judges use the following guidlelines:


Impact - Creativity, suject matter, dynamics, visual energy, interpretation.

Composition - perspective, centre of interest, direction, design, graphic stability.

Colour Management - Lighting, quality/quantity of light, colour harmony, tonal range.

Workmanship - Print quality, style, texture, technique, presentation.

Wedding Fair at Lough Rynn Castle in Leitrim

Yesterday (sunday 13th) David Knight and Irish Wedding Photography attended the Lough Rynn wedding fair held at Lough Rynn Castle Co. Leitrim. David was the official photographer for the fashion show and the fair. Some of the pictures are shown below that have been release to the media. David and the team here at IWP had a busy day with many people being interested in our services.

Also, David and IWP would like to congratulate Lough Rynn on securing the up and coming wedding of Irish Rugby player Brian O'Driscoll and his fiancee Amy Huberman.



David Knight was the official photographer for this event and is a recommended photographer for weddings at Lough Rynn Castle.
